 1. Initial Consultation

  • Conduct a comprehensive discussion with the client to understand the role, company culture, and reasons for the position being open.
  • Evaluate if BayWorks Recruiting is the best fit for the client’s recruitment needs.
  • Establish clear communication expectations and agree upon pricing.

2. Role Definition and Planning

  • Collaborate with the client to define the role parameters, including title, location, industry, and specific requirements.
  • Develop a customized recruiting plan that utilizes various strategies such as leveraging personal contacts, conducting targeted searches, exploring competitor lists, and engaging with relevant associations.
  • Set up a candidate tracking system for efficient management of the recruitment process.

3. Direct Sourcing of Candidates

  • Utilize multiple channels and approaches to proactively reach out to potential candidates.
  • Build trust and introduce the opportunity to candidates and assess their interest and suitability.
  • Schedule intake interviews with interested candidates and present qualified candidates to the client.

4. Weekly Recruiting Reports

  • Provide regular updates to the client regarding the progress of the recruiting process.
  • Quantify the activities undertaken and share any challenges or obstacles encountered.
  • Arrange additional telephone calls if necessary to address specific concerns or provide further information.

5. Facilitation of Interviews, Hiring, and Post-Hire Process

  • Collaborate closely with the client to schedule interviews and collect feedback from both parties.
  • Assist in completing necessary hiring documentation and processes.
  • Follow up with the client after the candidate has been hired to ensure a smooth transition and assess the candidate’s progress in the new role.

I vividly remember the morning of 9/11. Watching the events unfold on TV, then heading into the office to lead my recruiting team, everything felt surreal.That morning, an email from corporate directed Branch Managers like me to “keep teams engaged in sales and recruiting.” I must have read it five times, but all I could think about were my young children in daycare and my husband working in a San Francisco skyscraper. My team was also shaken. Family, friends, and safety were top of mind.As their manager, I made the decision not to push calls that day. We needed space to process and support one another. Hours later, a follow-up email came in from corporate saying “just be there for your employees.” I was thankful that the positive corporate culture prevailed.The real challenge came in the days and weeks that followed. Like many, we felt numb. I wasn’t exactly sure how to guide my team, but together with our candidates and clients we slowly found a rhythm again.
