AI and HiringAI is showing up more and more in accounting and finance job descriptions. But what does that really mean for companies hiring Controllers, Directors of Finance, and CFOs?To me, it means the role is changing quickly.Companies still need someone who understands accounting, finance, and internal controls. In addition, they also need a finance leader who can:• Use technology to make things more efficient• Understand and explain the numbers at a faster pace• Revisit and improve processes• Support the business as a whole (operations and growth)• Be a true business partner to board leadershipThe technology may be changing, but one thing hasn’t changed:Good companies still need good people. The right finance leader brings experience, judgment, relationships and the ability to see what needs to happen next. That’s what I look for when I recruit.Hiring isn’t just about filling a position. It’s about finding the right person who can adapt and help your company navigate a changing marketplace.
Gearing up for the final quarter of the calendar year!People, process, and productivity.
